In Need Of Translation
Hello to all Literature United members!

I think its about time I give official ownership of this club to LT and Dave. I know I talked to DA admins to give my new account ownership, but truth be told: Its been too long since I did anything here. I might be actively writing stories myself, but I am more of a musician. That, and DA's policies... are crud. Considering the moment that you click 'agree to terms' on every submissions, DEVIANTART IS ALLOWED TO USE AND MANIPULATE YOUR STUFF FOR MEDIA, COMPANIES, AND OFFSOURCE THEM ANYWHERE ELSE AS THEY SEE FIT.

You, as the owner of your own art, will not see any profit that companies such as Hot Topic, and certain flash sites are currently gaining from your art, poetry, flash projects, music, WHATEVER DA DECIDES TO GIVE OR SELL.

I will have the sources and proof shortly. but look at their terms of service yourselves. your jaw may drop.

"16. Copyright in Your Content
deviantART does not claim ownership rights in Your Content. For the sole purpose of enabling us to make your Content available through the Service, you grant to deviantART a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, re-format, store, prepare derivative works based on, and publicly display and perform Your Content. Please note that when you upload Content, third parties will be able to copy, distribute and display your Content using readily available tools on their computers for this purpose although other than by linking to your Content on deviantART any use by a third party of your Content could violate paragraph 4 of these Terms and Conditions unless the third party receives permission from you by license."

I should repeat that the part where it says YOU GRANT DEVIANTART A NON-EXCLUSIVE LISCENSE TO REDISTRIBUTE YOUR STUFF. You agree to that when clicking 'submit'

You will not see me on DeviantART anymore. This really is the end of 'Sparky' on dA. If any of you have questions about the group, ask LT and Dave. They will be given full Owner status with the exception of 'deleting' the club. I apologize for this.

Update #1: Dave and LT now have full control on everything. They are not allowed to invite to Co-Founders however, as Co-Founders have the same power as a Founder.
I will not be doing these often, but maybe you need to get known a bit better? Request a signal boost through either a journal or yourself with a reason why you think you need it.

-Maybe you're really down on your luck and are struggling, yet you believe you're talented enough to be on here?
-Maybe there's one piece you're stupidly proud of, but its not getting noticed?
-Maybe you just really want to help someone else out, and feel like you deserve the spot?

There are many reasons that could allow you to be signal boosted! Journals, and art not quite mentioned here but could still fall within the literature category in my rules <ie: specialized comics, art of a character you use in a story, or maybe you turned a journal into a poem just because you're being silly>.

You'll notice I allowed/added a journal to favorites/others. I live with hardrocker37 and she loves doing stories <never posts them> and character submissions. She is my fiance, and when I signal boosted the journal, its because we ARE struggling, she IS talented, and I can create a character themed song with any of her art that she draws for any of you, thus adding more depth to your story if needed to be.

If you are against this rule, the Signal Boost perks will stop next month.

HOWEVER. if Signal Boosting proves successful, it'll be something I keep until it becomes negative, or until the problems outweigh the perks.

There aren't many rules, except the usual Morality. Respect each other, and everyone's contributions.

I do ask however- those who are known to have great skills, that you provide constructive criticism.

Types of Literature allowed:

~~Poetry: any and all
~~Prose: Mostly all stories are allowed. Please make sure that you must at least have one original piece in order to be a part of this group.
~~Comics and Art: Comics that are part of a story are allowed. So is art- referring to a scene or upcoming scene, or characters in a story. Again, it HAS to be original. Rip-offs are not allowed in ANY cases, there are NO exceptions!

Note: If there is a group effort within some of these stories, please notify me to clear up confusion. There shouldn't be a double post of stories from any two accounts.

Other Rules:

--You may ONLY post One story and One poem a day. This applies to all forms of literature. We know you may be a fast writer sometimes, but save each post for a day. This is to keep other's updates from overflowing. This is also to give others time to read!

--Favoriting and Requesting Favorites: Even though this is a group vote, I ASK that you state the reason why you suggest a favorite, or vote. If you vote for/suggest a favorite- the majority should have a comment on that piece of literature on whats good about it. If you see potential, that is also a fair excuse.

--(Requested) Thanks to Arctic, we have a rating ability now. I do ask that you should put a rating on your literature posts. If you request a story to be favored, I ask that you yourself post a reason why AND the rating in which the post falls under.

The rating is as shown:
E for ALL Audiences.
Teen: For more mature audiences. May contain mild language. (Ages 13+)
NC-17: Extreme stories, mostly with a lot of sexual references, harsh language, etc.
X: Nothing but s.e.x. all the way through. Little to no plot.

Note:I do ask that if you for any reason post a rated X story here, it should at least have a plot, or has a romantic setting to it. This is not a rule, but it is requested.

If there are any questions, or anything that I may have forgotten to add- please notify me (or the Admins), and I'll see what I can do!

Also, as a favor- I ask that you make this group known to all fellow writers~

Um... there appears to be a hiccup about the 'Join our group' thingy. ^^; It thinks I'm a new Admin when I'm not. I write poetry, prose and fanfics. How does one get in?
